La guardia degli Orlando Magic Steve Francis è stato sospeso a tempo indeterminato senza paga per aver preso a calci un fotografo durante la gara della scorsa notte a Seattle, la notizia è stata data direttamente dal vice presidente della Nba Stu Jackson.
La durata effettiva della sospensione sarà annunciata solo dopo che la lega avrà fatto le dovute indagini. Francis ha saltato la gara di questa notte a Portland contro i Blazers (vinta dai Magic 97-92).
L'episodio si è verificato quando mancavano 8'57" alla fine dei 4° periodo.

ORLANDO (Florida) - Brutto colpo per le speranze di playoff degli orlando Magic che perdono per 6-8 settimane Hedo Turkoglu, vittma della frattura del polso sinistro in uno scontro di gioco. L'esterno turco stava viaggiando a 14.0 punti e 3.5 rimbalzi di media in 67 partite giocate.

Dopo il licenziamento di Paul Silas da parte dei Cavs, sembra che Flip Saunders debba aggiungere un'altra squadra alla sua lista di possibili impieghi...

scusa, cosa c'entra robinson con duncan?

Puo' fare il suo sostituto insieme a Horry. Piu' o meno gioca nella stessa posizione...forse Big Dog e' piu' un'ala piccola, ma comunque ha giocato e puo' giocare da 4.

Gli Spurs non hanno dato troppe informazioni sull'infortunio di Duncan...il che vuol dire che o fanno la sorpresona e torna miracolosamente nei playoff, oppure che vogliono lasciare gli altri nel dubbio pur sapendo che dovranno farne a meno...

Che sfiga...insieme a Chandler era un giocatore con un futuro piuttosto roseo davanti...entrambi scelti alle High School...

Brutta botta per Chicago, Chandler e' piu' forte fisicamente e ha un potenziale maggiore, ma Curry era comunque il piu' forte in senso generale fra i due.

Phil Jackson, who coached the Los Angeles Lakers from 1999-2004 and earned three championship rings in the process, is scheduled to meet with Kobe Bryant in Los Angeles later this week.




The meeting could be seen as a step to Jackson possibly returning to coach the Lakers.


However, sources close to Bryant said that he has not heard from Jackson about a possible meeting between the two. The sources said Bryant would not be opposed to such a get-together.


In 2004, Jackson wrote a tell-all book called "The Last Season" about the 2003-04 season in which he characterized Bryant as being difficult to coach. In the book, Jackson wrote that he asked Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak to trade Bryant.


Jackson has already spoken to team owner Jerry Buss and plans to speak with him again soon.


If Buss were to re-hire Jackson, Buss would likely do so only after a new NBA collective bargaining agreement with the players' association is reached. The current CBA expires in July.


The thinking is that if there is some sort of work stoppage this summer that could potentially last for months, the Lakers would not wish to be on the hook to have to pay Jackson during the time he is not actually coaching. Jackson is believed to be seeking an annual contract of around $10 million per season -- well in excess of his previous deal with the Lakers which was for $30 million over five seasons.
