The Good: The Lakers have had a few pleasant surprises emerge this year. Chucky Atkins and Caron Butler have become solid complimentary scorers, averaging 13.6 and 15.3 points respectively. Both players will be back next year for a cheap price.
The Bad: Brian Grant's contract should be an automatic induction into the bad contract Hall of Fame. Grant is owed $14.4 and $15.5 million the next two seasons even though he only produces 3.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. The Lakers are counting down the days until his contract expires.
